Jeff Hawksley

 

Head Coach and Program Director.

​

He is a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Certified Personal Trainer, a Performance Enhancement Specialist, and a Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is also a USSA International Level 500 Alpine Ski Coach and USSA Level 3 Course official, Chief of Course, Chief of Race, Jury Advisor, Level 2 referee.

With 30 years experience working with athletes of all ages at the local, regional and national levels of competition, Hawksley has extensive knowledge of training both on and off the snow. He also has five years of experience teaching full body fitness classes, designing training programs for private clients for weight management and body composition, corrective exercise, athletic performance and post rehabilitation training.

​

Hawksley has been with RASC since 2016.  Previous to that he was with Rangeley Health & Wellness.  He was the Director of Competition and Wellness at Saddleback from 2009 to 2012.  He was the Men’s Alpine Head Conditioning coach and Men's Alpine Coach at Carrabassett Valley Academy from 2005 to 2009. He was also director of the CVA Alpine Program, Sugarloaf/CVA Alpine Program and Head J3 Coach from 1997 to 2005 and founder and head coach of the Saddleback Alpine Training Center from 1985 to 1997.

Jonathan Adkins 

 

U14 Coach

​

Adkins is a Rangeley native who lives in town with his wife and son.  He has been a salmon farm manager for the past 24 years.  He is a USSA Level 100 Alpine Ski Coach and Alpine Official.

 

He returned to ski racing 10 years ago coaching with Saddleback Ski Club and Rangeley School programs.  His youth was spent on Saddleback skiing and ski racing under the tutelage of Jeff Hawksley during his more formative years.  He continued on to Bates College where he was a member of the Bates Ski Team.
